Anonymous Catalonia Claims DDoS Attack On Bank of Spain

 

The official website of the Spanish central bank, Banco de España, was offline earlier this week following a DDoS attack by the hacktivist group Anonymous Catalonia.

The attack was claimed by the famous group of hackers Anonymous Catalonia. The attack was launched Sunday and lasted until Monday. Anonymous, Catalonia revealed that the attack was part of his campaign #OpCatalonia

A representative of the bank said that the institution had been hit by a DDoS attack allowing temporary access to the site. As a central bank, Banco de España does not offer online banking services.
